Mathematicians and pizza lovers agree—pi makes the world go round, but pizza makes it worth eating. Here at Peter Piper Pizza, we take that to heart (and our stomachs). We recently partnered with Southern Arizona Research, Science and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) to expand learning opportunities for Arizona students. Through providing scholarships for SARSEF summer STEM camps, offering fun educational field trips, and monetary donations, we are committed to fostering a love of pizza and STEM for the next generation.
STEM Camp Scholarships for SARSEF
Arizona students, who are entering 4th grade through exiting 8th, are invited to explore STEM careers, learn how STEM is a part of our everyday lives and more during SARSEF’s STEM camps this summer. These camps, held throughout Tucson, and are offered through a pay-what-you-can model. We’re proud to partner with SARSEF to provide STEM camp scholarships to make affordable STEM camps a reality for deserving Arizona students who have a hunger for learning. In addition to STEM camp scholarships, Peter Piper Pizza is also providing meals for campers and special meal deals for their families this summer.
Making STEM Field Trips Fun
For over five years, we have encouraged childhood curiosity and learning with STEM-focused educational field trips at our restaurants. Our STEM field trips highlight core concepts of STEM education with a Peter Piper Pizza twist. Each year, students learn while having fun with hands-on STEM experiences like Pizza Engineering, My Plate Nutrition, a Game Room Scavenger Hunt and more in our restaurants. These field trips allow students to learn in a lively, active setting while filling their minds (and bellies) with science, technology, engineering and math knowledge.
Donating to Our Communities
We believe every child deserves a piece of the learning pie, that’s why Peter Piper Pizza has long supported children’s education and health. We’ve donated more than $600,000 annually to schools, hospitals and nonprofits. We’re committed to raising the next generation of dreamers, doers, and maybe even chefs, by continuing to contribute to the education and well-being of the children in our communities.
